Thom grew up Michigan and attended the Flint Institute of Art. He eventually settled in southern Indiana, intrigued by the beautiful and hilly landscape. “I believe you cannot find anything without looking. I spend several days at places, observing from morning to night, looking for simple but strong compositions.”
